June is recognized by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as National Healthy Homes Month. Throughout the month of June, the EPA is inviting you to learn more about indoor air, housing, and health. It is the hope of these agencies, that by providing resources to the public, the indoor air quality of homes can be improved.
As a professional working with indoor air quality, mold inspection, and mold testing, the month of June is an important month to educate the public and further the outreach. With the spotlight on ideas of source control, better ventilation, filters, and air cleaners etc from the EPA and HUD, its hopeful that this year the mission of National Healthy Homes Month will reach even more homes than before.
