Many years in the Mold business has taught me many lessons. I realize that when I am out in the field performing New York State Mold Assessor inspections, I am teaching others lessons as well. Too many times I arrive on a job to perform an inspection for a client only to find out they have paid in full and thought their job was complete, only to be failed by my inspection.
This is a common problem, and one I hate to have to deal with and consult on. Not for me personally, but for the client who has clearly been taken advantage of. In order to prevent these types of things from happening though, it needs to be you, the client who learns the lesson.
When you are hiring a company to come to your home and take care of a situation as serious as Mold, proper investigation into the company is required. In this era many choose their professionals strictly on price, understandable. However, if you’re only asking for a cheap price, you are probably lacking on experience, expertise, training and licensing.
